Dr. David K. Ntinayai is a licensed veterinarian with the Kenya Veterinary Board working at the human–wildlife interface in Samburu East, Kenya where livestock,wildlife and the community interact closely. His work is grounded in wildlife health, animal welfare and preventive medicine, with a strong emphasis on the One Health approach—recognizing the interconnected health of animals, people, and the environment. Working within a predominantly pastoral landscape, he is involved in field-based veterinary interventions, animal health management, disease surveillance, diagnostics, and community engagement in settings where livestock and wildlife share ecosystems and resources.His professional approach combines veterinary knowledge with practical field experience, conservation principles, and community-based approaches to address challenges at the intersection of animal health, human health, and environmental sustainability.
